Free Childcare for 2 to 4 Year-olds
2-year-olds are eligible for 15 hours of free, government-funded early education for 38 weeks a year (term time) starting the term after their second birthday. This applies to families receiving specific benefits, such as Universal Credit, Income Support, or Working Tax Credits.
All 3 to 4-year-olds in England receive 570 hours of free early education or childcare per year. We stretch the termly entitlement over 51 weeks of the year.
30 Hours Free Childcare
Children from working families who meet the eligibility criteria may qualify for the extended entitlement, which provides an additional 570 hours of free childcare per year. This funding applies to eligible children from 9 months old - 4-year-olds. These hours are stretched across the full year in the same way as the universal 15 hours or term-time only (38 weeks).

We offer a limited number of fully funded 15-hour and 30-hour places. Please contact the Nursery Manager for further information.​
Eligibility
To apply for 30 hours of free childcare in England (for children aged 9 months to 4 years), create a childcare account on the GOV.UK website. If eligible, you will receive an 11-digit code to give to your provider. Applications should be made the term before your child becomes eligible, and you must reconfirm your details every 3 months.

Eligibility stops at the end of the term before your child is due to start reception class.

When to start applying
To ensure you receive the code in time to give to your provider, apply by the following deadlines based on when your child turns 9 months old:

For 1 September start (Autumn Term): Apply by 31 August.

For 1 January start (Spring Term): Apply by 31 December.
